Coordinator  

Position: Part time, flexible hours.

Location: Home based.

Salary: £15 per hour

 

Job Description

  • To act as the primary point of contact for individuals who have contacted Menucha’s helpline.

  • To undertake and review need assessments, risk assessments, support plans and person-centred plans for each individual Menucha supports.

  • To facilitate communications amongst relevant parties and liaises with relevant parties involved in a client’s care.

  • To be knowledgeable regarding available services and community resources especially in terms of what is culturally appropriate for a client’s care.

  • To assist individuals to access services effectively and tracks whether client and services are working together efficiently.

  • To manage assigned case load.

  • To participate in Perinatal Mental Health training, risk assessment training and mental health first aid and all ongoing trainings Menucha offers.

  • To have a good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures and the ability to comply with these policies and those of data protection and health and safety, both for client and themselves.

  • To build a close working partnership with clinical manager, consultants, therapists, and others in the Menucha team.

 

Relevant skills -

  • Good interpersonal communication skills

  •  The ability to provide empathetic support through listening, questioning and engagement.

  • The ability to work with risk, understand risk mitigation and escalation whilst respecting professional boundaries and the ability to remain calm and make clear decisions under pressure.

  • Good time management.

 

Hours

This is a flexible home-based role where coordinators will be required to commit to 16 hours a week working 4 hour shifts within the 9-5 working day. This includes paperwork and a weekly Menucha team meeting.

Helpline Volunteer

 Position: Part time, fixed hours

Location: Home based

Salary: Volunteer basis

 

Job Description -

  • Listening to and dealing with any telephone messages or incoming calls.

  • Undertaking brief risk assessments with callers and following protocol for those needing emergency medical attention.

  • Passing contact details to clinical manager alongside any safeguarding concerns.

  • Completing any documentation about calls at the end of each shift.

  • Undertake ongoing risk and safeguarding training.

  • Undertake all Menucha trainings.

Hours

 This is a flexible home-based role where volunteers will be required to commit to four weekly 2 hour shifts, either morning 9:30-11:30 and evening 8:00-10:00
